Financial aid for international students applying to post-secondary institutions in Canada is available from several sources:

Universities and community colleges:
· Entrance (new student) scholarships
· International entrance scholarships
· International student athletic scholarships
· Academic scholarships (full or partial tuition)
· Program-specific scholarships
· On-campus employment

External organizations offering financial aid for international students:
· Canadian federal government
· provincial governments
· non-governmental organizations (NGOs)
· community groups
· professional associations

Private loans:
Visa students are not eligible for the Canadian Federal or Provincial student loan program. However, loan assistance is available through the International Education Finance Corporation (IEFC).
