About the Secondary School International Program
New Westminster Secondary School (NWSS) offers international students (grade 8 -12) opportunities to become proficient in English and to pursue, challenge and succeed in their future life goals. Students begin with ESL training (if required) and gradually become fully immersed in the academic high school program leading to grade 12 graduation.
Secondary School Highlights
NWSS is a public high school with a multicultural flavor common in the lower mainland of British Columbia. NWSS curriculum boasts a strong background in the areas of science, languages, and arts. Students, both local and international, are prepared for a global world with their academic and cultural experience at NWSS. NWSS features an abundance of clubs and sports teams for students to participate in.
